ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
This portrait experience is much more than taking pretty pictures.
Designed and first launched by Iryna Sosnovska in 2021, specifically for women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and over, this portrait experience is meant to show you what you already feel inside and what your loved ones see in you - strength, confidence, love for life and beauty.
It’s a celebration of you in this moment in time and what it took to get here.
Every part of the experience is carefully thought through to help you feel your best authentic self, while creating beautiful portraits that you love. Portraits that are works of art that you can proudly display in your home or office.
It's an opportunity to explore different sides of your personality to help you rediscover some parts of you that you might have forgotten. Or discover something new.
We want you to see how truly beautiful you are, inside and out.
It's fun. It’s therapeutic. It's a gift to yourself. And we can't wait for you to enjoy it!
HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO PARTICIPATE
The 40 Over 40 Experience session fee is $690 and is collected at the time of booking to secure your spot and the date of your session.
Each portrait session is custom to each client, unrushed and at a time that works for you.
WHAT IT INCLUDES
Style Consultation with Iryna to discuss why, how (and optionally, with whom) you’d like to be photographed.
Hair and make-up on the day of the photo shoot by our expert make-up artist. Every client is unique. Your make up and hair artistry are defined by your style and your preferences (from very natural “no make up“ style to a more dramatic look).
Fully guided photo shoot that is fun, relaxed and transformational. It takes place at our studio in Midtown Manhattan at 222 East 46th Street. Iryna will photograph you in a variety of outfits bringing out your favorite features.
You can include your mom, daughter (or son), sister or your partner in your shoot to create an extra layer of context and meaning in your portraits.
Your View and Order appointment following your photo shoot to select your favorite portraits and artwork.
One complimentary fine art print, mounted and signed. An opportunity to purchase any additional fine art products - framed wall art, albums and prints.
Participation at our annual 40 Over 40 private Gallery Exhibit and party for the participants and your loved ones, where your curated portrait will be showcased. The exhibit takes place in the Blue Gallery NYC (right under our studio).

YOUR PHOTO SESSION
Your photo session takes place at Iryna’s private Manhattan studio, a few blocks from Grand Central Station at 222 East 46th Street in New York City, in the famous Blue Building.
It begins at a make-up station where you’re pampered by our professional make-up and hair artist.
Iryna will photograph you in a variety of outfits bringing out your favorite features.
You can include your mom, daughter (or son), sister or your partner in your shoot to create an extra layer of context and meaning in your portraits.
We will schedule a time after your photoshoot to come back and view your portraits. You choose your complimentary portrait and have an opportunity to purchase any additional prints, albums or framed wall art that you love.
One of your portraits will be showcased in the private celebration with a gallery exhibit for our participants and their guests.
This experience is about rediscovering and celebrating yourself and seeing how truly beautiful you are, inside and out.

A NOTE FROM IRYNA
I've been photographing families and kids for over 15 years. I’m turning 44 this year and I feel as I’m getting older I tend to shy away from the camera more and more. I notice the same with my 40+, 50+, 60+ friends and clients. We need to change that! I believe we deserve to be in beautiful photographs for our families and for ourselves!

We’re inviting 40 strong, resilient, independent women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. Women who are proud of their life’s journey, with its challenges and accomplishments.
Everyone is unique. Some want to celebrate an important milestone. Some want to simply feel and look beautiful again, feel alive. For some it’s an opportunity to reflect on their achievements and life journey.
Being over 40 means that you’ve survived something in your life that made you stronger.

more about iryna and the studio
Iryna is a portrait artist and storyteller, who loves photographing families, kids and individual women and men.
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Iryna started her photographic career at the age of 24 as a photojournalist in Ukraine and Eastern Europe for publications such as the Financial Times and Business Ukraine. She moved to Prague, Czech Republic, and worked as a fashion and commercial photographer before moving to NYC in 2011.
After becoming a mom to a beautiful daughter, Iryna reevaluated and reconsidered everything and established herself as a family portrait photographer.
She opened her private studio in Midtown Manhattan in 2020 focusing on creating beautiful custom photographic art for her clients. In her work Iryna combines her love for art and her journalistic approach. She creates portraits that are visually compelling and tell people's stories.
Iryna believes that "interviewing" her clients, learning about their unique stories and what they value is as important as using the right lighting and composition in creating beautiful and meaningful portraits.
Iryna finds great joy in capturing people's love for each other and for themselves and designing framed art and storytelling books that will stand the test of time.
